Two ways to buy an identity

Fixed prices, itemised. Identity is the one service predictable enough to price up front — everything else is quoted, because the work genuinely varies.

Foundation — $2,000

The core identity, documented well enough that someone else can apply it.

  • Identity system consultation
  • Market research — a deep dive into how your competitors, and others in your industry, are representing themselves visually
  • Logo design — up to five initial concepts, narrowed down to the one that is right
  • A colour palette built for your brand
  • A brand typography system
  • A brand style guide and usage guidelines, as a PDF

Strategy — $3,500

Everything in Foundation, plus the identity already applied to the pieces you send out, and extended to the words and the photography.

  • Brand voice development — consultation and guidelines for the style of the copywriting, so the written message agrees with the visual one
  • Brand photography alignment — consultation and guidelines for product and lifestyle photography, so the images carry the same brand as everything else
  • The identity applied to business cards, business documents and stationery, social media templates, and an email or newsletter template

Which one, honestly

Foundation ends with a guide. Strategy ends with the identity already working.

That is the whole difference, and it is worth more than it sounds. A style guide is the deliverable that decides whether an identity survives its first year — and it is also the one most likely to be admired once and then left in a folder. Foundation is the right buy if someone on your side will pick it up and apply it. If nobody will, the system quietly stops existing, and the four applied pieces in Strategy are what stop that happening.

The rest of the difference is the voice and photography work: those are the parts of a brand hardest to judge from the inside, which is exactly why they are the parts most often skipped.

Everything else is quoted

Packaging and print, digital templates, product photography and illustration are quoted per project. A quote is not a stalling tactic — a five-SKU shoot and a fifty-SKU shoot are different jobs, and a range wide enough to cover both tells you nothing.

Why there’s no hourly rate

You are buying a defined outcome. Hourly billing charges you for our speed, and penalises the experience that makes the work faster. See the FAQ and the stage-by-stage process.

Which one fits?
